Not super 8, but still interesting and informative to read! The author, Robert Harris, is responsible for the restoration of many famous films like Spartacus, My Fair Lady, Lawrence of Arabia and more...the article discusses preservation and restoration of problematic Eastmancolor Stock of the 1950's and 60's...and if you want to find out about the legendary 3 strip Technicolor process, read the other 2 articles he wrote on this site. Is Kodachrome an "offspring" of Technicolor?

Well, I like to think of them as "co-dependent"...one couldn't have existed without the other...Kodak provided the raw film stock, and Technicolor provided the cameras , devised the process, and did their special processing. What's facinating about the old Technicolor process is that since they used printers inks, it is not prone to fading, while later incarnations of color film were....guess they got it right the first time, eh? mike
